Father's Day

I hope everyone's Father's Day was a wonderful celelbration of Father's.  We had a quiet subdued Father's Day here.  First we were off to church where my boys were able to make tie cookies for their Dad.  Unfortunately my husband was not able to spend Father's Day with us so he will not be able to taste those cookies.  Although I am not sure if he would have anyway with all the sugar and candy that was in each cookie.
After church we drove to my sisters house where she made dinner for my family, her family and my parents.  It was nice to be able spend Father's Day with my Dad especially since my husband wasn't here to celebrate with us.
We did put Skype on our computers so the boys did get to see their dad and wish him a Happy Father's Day.  I did want to share a picture that I took for my hubby's Father's Day present.  I cannot take credit for the idea because I saw it on a gift bag but I just love it and hope that he does too.

I did, however, get to make a card for my Dad.  I started with some Simply Chartruese cardstock and used some PP that I had in my stash.  I used some enchanted evening cardstock as an accent with some more PP on top of that.  I used one of my spellbinders dies to make the main image with Hawaiian shores cardstock and cream.
The stamps used were PTI father knows best and through the trees.  The ribbon is from some $1 ribbon at Michael's that I had just bought.  And then I used some stickles for some accents.
That is about it but I am pleased with how it turned out.  I have had a layout similar to this one in my head for quite a while.
Oh yeah, and here are some cards my boys made for their Dad at a Michael's make and take that I forgot about but got there in time to see the sign and for the boys to make them.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
