Hope you are all having a wonderful week. Mine has been crazy and look forward to eventually having things calm down soon but so far there is no sign of that happening. Tonight I get to go to a friends baby shower. I am excited to have some time with friends. I need it for sure. wanted to show you something I made very quickly yesterday. I will have more things to post soon but it is a matter of getting my brain to work in the craft department of my head.I have 3 friends I try to visit every month. They are all women that I am fortunate enough to go to church with and a couple of them I "work" with in primary. They are great women. With the summer here we are all busy and don't have a lot of time for extra things.It just so happens that my sister got some Amish Friendship bread starter and gave me some. Sunday was the day for me to bake and seperate. I had just enough time to seperate all the starters Sunday night but that was about it. I did bake mine first thing Monday.I decided I was going to give a starter to the ladies that I visit with every month. Unfortunately one of the starters spilled all over my kitchen counter. I did go ahead and give the starters to one friend and a neighbor I have not introduced myself to yet.I couldn't just had them a bag of starter so I decided to take a paper lunch bag and make a tag for it. Just enough dress to make it nice but not overdone.I started with Terracotta Tile paper and stamped with vintage cream ink using polka dot basics set. I then used some vintage cream cardstock and sponged the edges with tea dye distress ink. I stamped the star from everyday classics stamp set using melon berry ink and the sentiment is from round & round stamp set in black ink.The ribbon is some I had in my stash. I tied it with a cream button and terracotta tile dmc floss. That is about it. But I love how it turned out.Have a great rest of the week.Thanks for stopping by!!! 
Good Wednesday everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We had a jammed packed weekend that was just wonderful but of course, it went by way too fast. We started off with a family BBQ with my parents and sisters family, we also invited friends from church. I think it went off without a hitch. Sunday was church and then Monday we headed to where my parents lived for a nice picnic in the park and then some fishing. Unfortunately is was very windy and the fish weren't biting. It was probably a good thing anyway because we saw several dead fish floating around in the lake and one or two laying in the dirt around it. Today I wanted to show you something I made for my son's teacher. Tomorrow is his last day of kindergarten and I couldn't be more proud and more sad at the same time. Today we are heading to his class because the kids are putting on a performance for us parents. I can't wait but I know I am going to be sobbing. Tomorrow all the kindergartners will be doing a short program for the parents. For some reason they do not do a graduation ceremony here so we will just have to enjoy the program :)Anyway, I found this cute gift set at wal-mart and that it would be fun for his teacher. Something to help her relax and enjoy her summer vacation without a classroom full of loud kids.I wanted to do something a little more special though. I took the wrapping off and used them as templates to make my own. I used paper that was on my table so I am not sure of the color or company it comes from.From there I used some lined paper I got from making memories vintage findings.On the top I just added the Thank you sentiment from a stamp set I bought at Joann's, Inkadinkado. The flower is chloe's closet and the button is PTI. The ribbon I had in my laundry room and says
"explore" I thought it was suiting.The bottom is the same paper and then I just took some new leaf dmc floss wrapped it around the bottom and then tied a PTI button to it. That's it, pretty simple.I have on more thing I am doing for my son's teacher that I has to be done tomorrow so I can give it to her when I go to the program, of course, he starts school in the morning tomorrow so that cuts down my time to get everything done.Thanks for stopping by!!!
Happy Good Friday everyone!!! This truly is a special day. I am so grateful for all of my blessings and the life that I have. What a blessing to have a husband who loves me and puts up with all my faults (and I admit I have a lot of them). My 3 precious boys are my life and I would do anything to make sure they are happy and safe. All of this because my eldest brother, Jesus Christ willingly gave his life for me, everyone who has and who will walk on this earth. Thank you!!!
Today I am wanting to share with you a notecard holder I made thanks to Laurie ( Just give me Stamps). It was very easy and simple to put together. I decorated following a style that Lorie posted on her blog here.

Hello everyone!!! I hope you are still around. I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted something here. I feel terrible about it. I have just been so busy with appointments and such. We have more appointments again this week but not as many, so far.Today I am going to share a card with you I made thanks to my mom. We decided to take a trip to Big Bear City for the day on Saturday. My parents came along for the company. There was a store that that had a bunch of "cowboy" stuff. I found an adorable outfit I put together. My mom saw the outfit, loved it but said that it was Terricotta tile and dark cholocate, PTI colors. Since then I have thought about a card that would be awesome to recreate that "outfit" using those colors. This is what I came up with. Thanks mom!!!It isn't all PTI, the cardstock is though. I used terracotta tile and vintage cream like DMC floss, a chole's closet flower I had in my stash, as well as a button.The stamps I used were PTI Backround basics: hearts, Waltzing Mouse Labels 4, scrappby cat, and martha stewart stamps. The ink is colorbox dark brown and PTI vintage cream. The punch is a fiskars.I am so happy with it. One card down more to go.Thanks for stopping by!!!
Happy Tuesday everyone!!! I hope you all had a great Monday. Sorry I wasn't here. I planned to post a couple more thank you cards I had made on Friday but woke up with my newest baby at 4am with a migraine and it refused to leave me until well into the night last night. I am still recouping but at least I can function a lot better. Of course, my stomach hasn't caught up just yet. Not being able to eat normally for a day really messes with you.On a side note, my baby Garrett is 1 month old today. Granted his first month was a short one but still, times does fly way too fast. I still need to take him to the photographer for professional pictures. We didn't even do hospital pictures with him because the hospital he was born at doesn't do the usual hospital pictures but more of portraits. That in and of itself would be fine but the packages they offered were EXPENSIVE and raising 3 boys on military pay is not easy as it is, let alone adding more expenses like that.So today is another thank you card duo that I came up with. Well, "I" didn't come up with it. I kinda cased it from Niki Estes. Here is the link to her card. And here is my version.It was actually pretty easy to put together. All the ingredients are PTI, minus the DMC floss and button. Since it is pretty self explanatory and I have a lot to catch up with today I am going to leave you with the picture. It is Monday, let's all hope that it is the best Monday we could have. Thank you for taking time out of your Monday to visit with me. I am very grateful.As you may know I have many, many thank you notes to get together and sent out. The lovely young women at my church threw me and another wonderful lady, who had a baby girl just a few weeks before I had Garrett, a baby shower at the church last Tuesday. Sadly, I have only gotten one thank you card done. I guess I better get cracking.Todays card is simple and fun. I love how easily it came together but I also love the non-traditional patterned paper that I used. Of course, it only works with boys unless you have some pink camo patterned paper. I used this layout from another card/blog that I read daily. If it is yours please let us know and I apologize for not remembering.Since it is fairly simplistic and I should be doing other things I am going to leave you with the eye candy for today.
