Whimsy Design Team Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!!! Today I announce my wonderful news that you may have seen if you have been going to the Whimsy challenge blog. After being a guest designer for the month of July I got an email from the owner of Whimsy (Denise) asking me to stay on as a Design Team member. I was so overwhelmed and excited and nervous. I couldn't pass up the opportunity but was still a little worried with everything else that is going on in my life right now. I did except, obviously, but will be designing every other week. I think that will help cut out some of the stress I may put on myself.

So, today is my first week as a Design Team member. The challenge for this week is to use ribbon, as much or as little as you want. There is going to be a few extra changes on the challenge blog as well. We are going to have a monthly challenge that will be a prize contest. Be sure to check in over there periodically to see what is going on. I will do my best to keep you up-to-date as much as possible.

Denise was kind enough to send me some goodies from Whimsy. I was so excited to color in the new hippo and that is exactly what I did. I tried to follow the Friday Sketchers sketch but it just wasn't working out for me so I just finished it up on my own.

Well, I need to rush outta here. My baby starts school today. Thank goodness my wonderful husband took the day off to help me through it. I had to hold back tears as I woke up and saw him in the living room playing a video game and I am trying to hold back tears now thinking about taking him to the school. I know he will have fun and he is so excited. He wanted to go to school yesterday after church so we are good, I hope. I will post about it tomorrow or later. I did get some projects done over the weekend so I have a few things to show you for sure this week.
